Buildings & Grounds

The school contains three architecturally designed buildings. The central core holds the administration and staff areas, which are opposite the Multimedia/Library centre.  The second building houses an art/craft room, music room and physical education area.

The third area includes fourteen modern classrooms with offices and withdrawal areas.  A feature of the classroom design is their flexibility in allowing connecting walls to be removed between some rooms facilitating team approaches.  Additional relocatable classrooms provide for the continued growth in student population.  This area has been enclosed to create 'The Learning Common' for students in this area to access.  The design lends itself to the cluster arrangement of year levels, promoting close planning and teaching amongst staff.

Our school grounds include extensive garden areas, play equipment, picnic tables, asphalt areas, oval and covered walkways.

Our gardens are maintained by community working bees as well as a professional gardener. This ensures the continued maintenance and improvement of our grounds. Students are also involved in maintaining and planting within our school grounds.

Play equipment areas are the only areas restricted to particular year levels. This is for the protection and safety of the children, as this equipment is designed for use by children of specific age groups.

Extensive covered areas provide outside shelter for children, both in the wet and summer seasons.

Attractive sails provide students with shaded play areas during the summer season, whilst still permitting access to playground equipment and the sandpit.

Various asphalt areas can be seen within the school grounds, ensuring access for all year levels. The asphalt areas are incorporated within the Physical Education and Inter-school sports programs, as well as providing supervised play areas for students during their lunch and recess times.
